Birthday Banquet Dinner

We celebrated my birthday again with a dinner banquet at the Golden Dragon in Chinatown. It was fun, but it sure got late - way past my bedtime!

My favorite part was when Gung Gung helped me go round and round on this mini merry-go-round!

My First Birthday!

I'm one year old today! I've got my party dress on and I'm ready to have some fun!

We've got the balloons & goodie baskets put up...

...the food and party decorations are all ready...

...and it looks like all our family and friends have arrived now!

Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday, little me! Happy birthday to me!

Thank you all for being a part of my life & celebrating my first birthday together with me! Baby kisses and hugs to you!

Song of Dedication
Mommy & Daddy's corner:
We have decided to dedicate our daughter to our Lord Jesus Christ on this day, her one year old birthday. As we do so, we are reminded that we are merely stewards of this precious little one. And as we love her, we will also commit to protecting her, providing for her, teaching her, guiding her, supporting her not only this year, but every year of her life. We thank God so much for our precious little Nicole.
Song of Dedication
Lord, we dedicate, yes, we consecrate, our daughter to You - for Your purposes, for Your perfect plans, for all the things You'll have her do.

Lord we give back to You this child you've given us, for she belongs to You. She's just a loan of love, a gift from above, and we give her back to You.
Song by Nancy Gordon & Ronda Scelsi
Alien Affections

Greetings, earth creature. I am an alien who has come here to explore this planet - Planet Obee.

What is this fascinating object? May I eat this?

Ahhh, I believe this might be fit for alien consumption! Mmm-mmm!

Thanks for letting me explore Planet Obee, but it's time for me to go...to infinity and beyond!
Lovebirds

Mommy's corner: This is the top layer of our wedding cake! Every year on our anniversary, we either went out of town or was busy celebrating somehow, so we never took it out of the freezer, even though we've been saying that we needed to - for years now! So now, after nearly 4 years of marriage - we finally took it out! It's covered in ice & frost, so we decided that we'll take this picture, but forego eating the cake!
First Word
Mommy's corner: Nicole & I were playing in the living room, when we heard someone getting ready to unlock the door & come in. As usual, I would say, "Who's that, baby? Who's coming home?" And then Nicole said, "Da da", as Chris walked in the door! How exciting!
Playing Catch

Where are you, Daddy?

I'm looking for you, Daddy!

Are you hiding, Daddy?

I'm coming, Daddy!

I gotcha, Daddy! I gotcha! Or did you catch me? Hee hee hee!
Dogone Fun

Hey! Look who jumped into my play space!

I think he wants me to rub his tummy...

...and give him baby hugs and kisses!
Girls' Get-together

Mommy's corner: Today, I had the chance to take some time for myself & get together with the girls in my grade from church - we had a yummy potluck & a belated Christmas exchange! Thanks for letting me hang out with you, Steph & for being my ride the whole day! And thanks again for the beautiful bowls & basket, Sandy!
Snow Bunny

Ehhhh....What's up doc?! I don't see a carrot around, so I guess I'll settle for my coat!
Special Straw Cup

I learned how to use a straw on New Year's Eve! Now I can use the special straw cup that Po Po bought for me in Hong Kong!
Mommy's corner: Chris & I are thrilled to see Nicole learn how to use a straw! Prior to the straw, we had to use a medicine dropper to squirt liquid into her mouth for her to drink anything! She never really learned how to use a bottle or sippy cup and has been exclusively breastfed since birth. So I am relieved that she's now able to drink with a straw because then I can develop a plan for eventually weaning her as she soon turns 1 year old by the end of this month.
English Tea at The Huntington

I think I've developed a mole on my upper left lip! Ha ha! Naaaaah!...it's a half-eaten blueberry that Mommy & Auntie Peggy found hilariously stuck on me!

We're having English Tea at the Huntington today! I had some fruit while Mommy ate some lovely scones! Auntie Peggy liked the sandwiches & Uncle Patrick had his eye on the desserts!

Still hungry! Got my eyes set on this gigantic apple here! Ha ha! Just kidding...it's not real! And neither is that black bird! We're inside the Children's Garden!

Aren't the flowers lovely here? I can't wait until I can start walking & run around in here!
Costco Couch

Daddy is testing out this couch at the Alhambra Costco! We like it & we think we'll get a couple for our new place-to-be! Just gotta find a place to store them...
