Another Quick Hi to Gung Gung

Gung Gung had a brief layover here at LAX from his flight from Hong Kong to Intercontinental. We picked him up & went to Fox Hills Mall for a quick hi & quick bite!

While I was trying to finish my lunch, Jeh Jeh already went off to play....no fair! I want to play, too!

Mommy's laughing at me, because I was so eager to play that I still haven't finished swallowing my last gulp of milk!

Tea Rose Garden

What a wonderful treat! I got to go to the Tea Rose Garden with my MOPS moms & enjoy this delicious breakfast!

We are all so blessed by our small group leader, Fumie, that we planned a little extra "something" to honor her DTC status. DTC stands for "dossier to China", which is part of the process of adopting a child from China. What it means is that she's gone through enough of the paperwork that she's officially "pregnant" on paper! We are so excited for her & her family!

Sweet Fellowship

Look at how Nicole's grown so much! In this picture, she just looks so much older to me & so totally ready for school with her backpack on! We are so proud of how she's taken so well to being a big sister to Jason.

On Fridays, after MOPS, I've been able to indulge in a weekly trip to McD's with just me & Nicole. I just love spending this time alone with Nicole, knowing that in another blink of an eye, she'll be grown even more.

In the afternoon, we took another walk to Subway's & Trader Joe's with both kids this time - needed to pick up food for tonight's fellowship meeting.

While we were doing our Bible study, the kids were initially entertained by watching Cars on our laptop. Aren't they so cute being so transfixed? Ha ha!

Walk to Trader Joe's

Mom's been encouraging me to exercise more. And I do want to increase my activity level so I can hopefully burn more calories in general! So, today, we decided to walk to Trader Joe's.

A round trip to and from Trader Joe's is only 1.5 miles. We made it here - I dunno why Jason looks so tired when I was the one doing all the walking!

Ahhh, now he's livening up a little bit!

Valentine's Day Dinner

In great appreciation of Chris, my mom, and my Uncle Stephen & Aunti Sue, I planned a Valentine's Day dinner for us all.

To Chris - I am learning to a little bit of what it means to "love through the years" even though we've only celebrated 5 years of marriage! I hope that I can continue to love you with the love that God shows me, through His empowerment. And I hope that we can learn to love & appreciate each other more and more in the next 5 years to come.

Mom - you have been an unbelievable blessing to me. I treasure your companionship so much & I miss you each time you return to Texas! I am so blessed by your encouragement & belief in me, how you sometimes see more in me than I do myself.

Uncle Stephen & Aunt Sue - it brings joy to my heart to see how you love & play with my children. Your willingness, nay, your eagerness to love & serve my family has truly humbled me time and time again. Thank you for all that you do for us!

Ha ha - I normally don't cook, now that my mom has been here helping out me & my family. But I do enjoy menu planning & it was fun thinking of what to serve my family. The pictures you see here are actually pictures of our leftovers! We forgot to take pictures of the meal when it was all prepared! Ah well! I guess I was distracted by the task of getting everything cooked & presented in time for dinner!

Appetizers: salmon roulade & crab cakes
Soup: Winter Seafood Soup
Entrees: Baked Mussels, Omaha steaks (filet & sirloin), Shrimp in tomato sauce
Sides: Vegetables in Balsamic sauce, Thai-style green beans
Dessert: Marie Callendar's Kahlua Cream Cheese pie
