God has so very graciously given us the chance to experience Weekend to Remember - a really encouraging & inspiring marriage conference. It was a good time for Chris & I to pause & take stock of where our marriage is & and how we'd like to see us growing in the near & distant future - both as husband & wife, but also as godly parents to our children.
I had the fun task of doing decorations for the MOPS Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon. It's a chance for the moms to put on a luncheon as a way to thank the wonderful ladies (& a few gentlemen) for taking care of our children every week while the moms connect. This year's theme was the Academy Awards for our award-winning caregivers!
The tables looked absolutely gorgeous. Gold settings with black backdrop & accents really made it look elegant.
The 'MOP'scars award, which was the party favor, was PERFECT for our theme, set right next to the "envelope"!
The food looked absolutely fabulous, too! I hope that all the caregivers enjoyed themselves & know how grateful we are for their service to us & our children!
We're back at GrandUncle Stephen's place & this is my VERY MOST FAVORITE place to play! It's a miniature billiard table & I LOVE climbing on top of it & grabbing the billiard balls & throwing them all around!
GrandUncle Stephen is trying to contain my enthusiasm for his billiard balls in this little corner.
And then Daddy came by just in time for a lesson in shooting some hoops!
And GrandAuntie Sue even cooked dinner for us all! I enjoyed my dinner! What about you?
We got a free scoop of ice cream from Baskin-Robbin's Birthday Club! This is Jason's first try of ice cream & the look on his face is HILARIOUS! And he keeps coming back for more! Scoop of Birthday Ice Cream Uploaded by Becky
Mom's corner: This is the look that prompted the "Donald Trump" hair comment. Ha ha!
While Chris & I thought that Nicole was often a daredevil as a toddler, Jason is even more so! He's trying to climb up the rope ladder to go down the slide!
Nicole is here with the shopping cart & all the plastic toy animals she could get her hands on!
Playing together - how cute!
This is Nicole's latest fascination at Kidspace - the frog leap! Watch the video clip below to see what she does!
It's my first time on a swing! I'm still getting used to it, but it's pretty fun! You can check out the video clip below, but I'm warning you that Mommy is singing some really kooky melody, trying to get my attention!
Wow, how time flies! Our little (still sick, can you tell?) Jason is 1 year old! Thank you, Mom, for coming out to LA to celebrate the birthdays of both the kids! We are going to miss you when you return to Texas tomorrow!
This is where Mommy feeds me most of the time. We tried using the high chair, but it just didn't work out. Firstly, whenever I would use the high chair, Jeh Jeh would then feel the need to use it, too...at the same time. Secondly, even when I was all strapped in, somehow, I would manage to wiggle out & get loose! Thirdly, if I couldn't get loose, I'd get mad & stop eating! I think this feeding chair works for me because I can watch TV & eat at the same time, ha ha!
Mommy tells me that today is my birthday party! We planned a special day with lots of my friends to celebrate here at Garfield Park! We're thanking everybody for coming & saying a prayer of blessing for me & the food!
After lunch, we got my pinata ready to play!It was so much fun for all friends to pick up lots & lots of goodies that came out of the pinata!
We tried really hard to get a group picture while getting ready to cut the birthday cake.
A special thanks to Po Po who came all the way out from Texas just so she could celebrate my 1st birthday together with me!And thank you for all the presents! At least that's what Mommy says I need to say!
Personally, I don't get it. Is this what opening presents is supposed to be like? There's nothing in here!
We're getting ready to visit GrandAuntie Maria in Tustin!
We had a nice lunch together at Phoenix Inn!
Mommy said I behaved very well!
Afterwards, Mommy let GrandUncle Stephen drive us all home. And Mommy stayed behind in Orange County to visit her friend Auntie Winnie & her daughters, Rachel & Amanda, who were visiting LA from San Jose! They were going to Disneyland!
