Heading Home

This was our last night at Mammoth - we're packing up and heading home today!

All the fishies we caught...

...they now look like this! They've been gutted, cleaned, vacuum sealed and frozen! It makes it easy to take home & share with others!

Here's our Mammoth family picture!

Unngh! Errgh! Arrrrrgh! I'm trying to get ready for the group picture...Uncle Hubert! Help me!

Mammoth picture of everybody!

Time to go home now. Unfortunately, Jason didn't do so good driving home. He'd much rather be in Daddy's lap. Since he had to be strapped into the car seat instead, I think he probably cried for at least 5 hours, nearly nonstop and gave himself a heat rash.

Fortunately, I've got my DVDs that I can watch on the 12" monitor that Daddy bought for the minivan! Yay! Cinderella!!
Lake Sotcher

I get to go to the lake this early morning to go fishing with Daddy! Mommy's got me all bundled up in A LOT of layers - shirts underneath sweaters & vests & pajamas underneath pants.

It sure is peaceful & pretty here - and COLD, just like they told me!

I had my first taste of fishing today - Daddy's got me all set up in this chair by the lakeside to catch some fishies!

See the water? Daddy told me to sit put for just one second...but I didn't do good listening...

I was trying to get off the chair and ended up landing facefirst into the lake!

Good thing Mommy packed a whole other set of layers & bundles of clothes for me to change into. I guess I better sit put for now, huh?

Amazingly, Daddy still caught the biggest fish of all! Just like last year! See the picture in picture here?

This is what the poor fish looked after dinner.

Oh, and if you're wondering what happened to Jason...he stayed home with Mommy to nap! Mommy likes to swaddle Jason, but he's learning to get out of it. Mommy calls this his "sexy leg" look - ha ha!

PLUS, he had his first taste of solids, today! Look, he's got rice cereal on his mouth!
Mammoth Creek Park

Mommy & Daddy told me we were going to the mountains & staying in a cabin. Is this what they call roughing it? Where's my bathtub?

Mommy says we can't be roughing it too much, especially with Uncle Hubert cooking some fantastic meals! Yum!

Mommy took me to Mammoth Creek Park in the Bjorn!

Can you see me now? Ha ha!

Daddy spent his time chasing after Nicole all over the playground.

Or swinging Nicole up and down and up and down!
Reunited

I missed you, Daddy! I'm glad to be in your arms again!

Who else is in your arms? My new friend, Micaela!

For this trip, it's the 3 of us kiddos!

Today, in the morning, we went to Color Me Mine - mommy painted my hands blue to make a special mug.

Daddy & Nicole are trying out the backpack carrier - they're going to go on a hike today!

Mommy & I decided to stay home to nap, but everybody else went on the hike. Big sis decided she wanted to walk after all.

That meant that Micaela could use the backpack carrier!

I liked holding Daddy AND Uncle Scott's hands.

In fact, I made them both work pretty hard, following after me!

The terraine was pretty tricky!

The highlight of the day: seeing real live fish for the first time!
Time to say bye bye

This morning, when I woke up extra early (around 5am), I had the chance to spend some extra time with GrandAuntie Vickie.

GrandUncle John took turns entertaining me, too!

We had to say bye bye this morning - it's time for us to go! After this, we're headed to Mammoth Lakes. That's where we'll meet up with Daddy - yay!
Meeting Baby Amanda

Today, we got the chance to hang out at Auntie Winnie's home.

We tried to take a group picture, but little baby Amanda was already asleep.
Visiting Zachary Again!

We came back to visit Zachary today, and to see Auntie Bonnie, too! As it turns out, Zachary had two other friends over as well!

If you count me, that takes the total to five kids! Let me tell you, there was a whole lot of activity going on!

Still, we had a really relaxing time - I hung out in this little Moses' basket...

...while Nicole was chilling on the Nemo lounge chair.
Visiting Zachary

We're visiting Zachary today and they have the same exact activity center as we do at home! Sure makes me feel right at home!

It's so nice of Zachary to share his toys with me.

I know my big sis Nicole enjoys playing with Zachary's toys, too! In fact, since it turns out that Zachary lives less than five minutes away, we'll probably come by again to play some more!
Thank you, Auntie Rita!

Auntie Rita made me a special drink today! I call it "Jamba Juice" even though everyone else says it's called a smoothie.

And then, Auntie Rita was nice enough to take us to Jollyman Park! I had loads of fun!

We had to say goodbye to both Auntie Rita & Uncle Jonathan, because they both had to go back to San Francisco tonight.
